I love deer hunting and hopefully it comes across abundantly clear in my stories and tips on this site. My dad and I spend a lot of time with each other chasing deer. My boys are reaching the age they can join us. Hunting with family and friends is one of the most rewarding aspects of my life.
Many folks have never had this opportunity to be exposed to hunting. As hunters we should always be looking for an opportunity to take a new hunter into the field.
A news release just announced the Minnesota DNR will be providing a Deer Hunting Clinic. The clinic is geared towards adults but children 10 and older are encouraged to join the adults. This is a fantastic service from a state DNR.
Participants in the deer hunting class will learn practical training in deer tracking, tree stand safety, firearm safety and deer stand placement. I encourage everyone in Minnesota to spread the word. I also encourage hunters in other states to check with their local DNR to see if similar classes are available. If your DNR does not offer a clinic then make a suggestion or offer this as feedback.
Leave a comment below if you know about a deer hunting class in your state. Thanks
